Sydney East Hockey Association (SEHA) is launching its 2025 Open Representative Season. The SEHA Open teams represent SEHA at the Hockey NSW Open Field State Championships over the June Long Weekend - Saturday 7th to Monday 9th June 2025 .
Sydney East is calling for nominations for Mens and Womens teams to represent Sydney East at the Hockey NSW Open State Championships 2025 (Division 2 & 3) at Newcastle International Hockey Centre on the June Long Weekend.
Hockey NSW has split the Open State Championships into two locations
1. Division 1 - Men & Women - Central Coast (10 teams per gender)
2. Division 2 & 3 - Men & Women - Newcastle (8 teams per division per gender)
Sydney East's 1st Mens & Womens teams will both be in Division 2. If we can enter a 2nd team in the championships (which will be determined based on the number of entries received), they will be in Division 3. All of the games for these teams will be at Newcastle
Please complete the nomination form by Wednesday 23rd April. It is hoped the selection process will conclude by mid-May.

PLEASE NOTE ALL PLAYERS SELECTED WILL BE REQUIRED TO PLAY FOR THE WHOLE DURATION OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS (JUNE LONG WEEKEND - 3 DAYS).

The selection process does not usually involve a trial. Nominees may be observed in club games and seldcted base don previous performance.
