SEHA is holding an Umpire Coaching seminar as a follow up to our junior umpiring seminars and umpire coaching in the senior competition. 

Presenters will be Marilyn Brown (Level 2 Umpire coach), Luke Fleming (Level 1 Umpire Coach) and Debbie Dodd (Level 2 Umpire Coach) all of whom are currently umpire coaching at NSW Field State Championships.

Who should come: 

• Anyone who is coaching umpires in their club or would like to start coaching umpires in their club or at association level. 
• Anyone who already holds an umpire coach accreditation and needs a refresher on some of the latest coaching techniques and rules.

Where is it: St George Randwick Hockey Club House,  Mutch Avenue Kyeemagh

When is it: Monday 15th July, 7pm to 8.30pm

• Introduction to umpire coaching
• Tips for coaching umpires (junior and senior)
• Techniques for delivering feedback to give the maximum benefit
• Assistance with rule interpretations
• Practical examples

Pre-requisites:

• Read the latest field hockey rules
• Optional - If you wish to be accredited as an Umpire Coach, sign up on Hockey Ed for Level 1 Umpire Coach. (Note: A practical assessment will be required to pass a Level 1 Umpire Coaching).
